Oro is not the talk influence villain type. I highly doubt he would change his mind by Naruto trying to lecture him. Just like Kaguya/Black Zetsu he has a pure Evil mindset and he won't get influenced by the Talk No Jutsu of Naruto. Also, remember Oro choose the path of Sasuke by his own desire, he was not influenced by the protagonists one bit (The only case where people thought TNJ worked on Oro).
Boruto doesn't even know who Oro is. For Sarada, Oro is an enigma. The lack of knowledge on Oro could easily give the win to Oro. Oro would logically know everything about Boruto and Sarada through Mitsuki and would have suitable counters ready for them. There is no way both can win against Oro unless Mitsuki turns to Boruto's side. This development would perhaps only happen near the end, not at the start of the story, so Oro still has the chance.
This is not DBZ, where power is everything, the story focuses on the ninjas theme where cunning strategies and teamwork can easily demolish powerhouses even if the characters employing the strategies are weak - some examples being : JJ Madara getting backstabbed and negged, Kaguya a goddess falling to teamwork, etc.
As I said, if Oro holds Boruto and Sarada hostage, Naruto and Sasuke will follow Oro's words to the letter irrelevant of their power levels. Both were willing to take the high stakes to protect their children. The emotional upheaval they will face on seeing their children taken hostage by a pure Evil scientist will negate all the power level advantage they have.
