Should naruto take the exams before becoming hokage?

There are hints in the manga which leads me to believe that after the war, the whole village system would be abandoned for a one village system/government. But lets say this doesnt happen and village set up continues as normal after the war.

If the latter happens there is no doubt that he would more or less become the next hokage after Tsuande retires/dies in the war since that kinda like the whole point of the anime, his dream.

Now he is still a genin. Obviously he has the strength of a kage and nobody is doubting this but shouldnt he, like the rest of the villagers take the exams to advance in rank because being a ninja obviously isnt just about power (which he has alot of ), but also being pitied in situations where youd have to make a decision and this is what the exams are all about

Not necessarily to become hokage but to become jonin before becoming hokage. Im sure tsunade left the village a jonin

maybe not take the exams, but he should DEFINITELY go thru the education system agen, to sharpen and hone his other skills, like his academic skills and management ability. admittedly he would have a team of underlings working for him to do most of it, like shikaku/maru for strategy etc but he needs to learn those things for himself too.

You don't have to be a Jonin to be a hokage, He's special in his own way while Tsunade's special in her own way, and also Remember what he said,

I don't care if I DO get stuck as a genin for the rest of my life! I'll still be Hokage someday!"

I would love to see him take the exams again...Imagine if he brought sasuke back, and they didnt arrest him or kill him for treason, and naruto and sasuke took the exams together...it would be hilarious

There's no point. Everybody in the village knows he's kage level. Could he mature and become more intelligent? Sure, but taking the exams over and over again won't help him with that. Battle experience is what will help him with that, which is what he's currently getting.

It has everything to do with intelligence and power since there is an exam involved before going onto the next rank.

Also if naruto can become hokage when he is a genin, that obviously defeats the purpose of the whole ranking system, because people might aswell just train to get stronger and forget about taking an exam to improve their rank
