It's ironic than an Uchiha's main power would be a clone technique, it's doesn't make sense not giving the best clone jutsu to the best clone user.



Also, Madara casually sending his clones in far dimensions implies that it relies to some extent on SPS, so maybe Kishi originally intended it to be a SPS feat which explains why Naruto is the only one capable of making physical contact with the clones

Clone techniques are used by virtually everyone in the series, not just naruto. Besides, If Naruto had limbo it would just be a clusterf*ck of a battlefield with limbo clones and shadow clones at once. He also physical interacts with his shadow clones and uses techniques in combination with them. Limbo is not good for that style of fighting. Limbo is less like a clone ability, and more like a shadow of the original existing in another dimension, slightly different in concept.

It does make sense given the fact that Rinnegan can only be achieved if Ashura (Body) and Indra (Eye) Chakra fuse.

That would have been cool if it were Naruto's feat. But you would have to put some major restrictions on it.

Like if Naruto is using Limbo Clones he can't use Kage Bushin at the same time. That would be way to OP.

But he would be able to set up some interesting gambits during battles with only Sasuke/Madara/Kaguya /Otsutsuki being the only ones who could see the clones.
