anti heroes are more like jerks who are inherently good. itachi is evil and knows it. he placed manipulating sasuke above the safety of thousands.
if he was only anti heroic from the start he would have nothing to be sorry for in the war arc

I will ignore the rest as I don't agree with it anyway - I don't know which manga you are reading, but Itachi delivered the Jin with Kisame - the Four Tails host. He didn't know what was going to happen to that Jin?

People complain about Sasuke capturing Bee, but everyone thinks Itachi did a great job by delivering a full Jin to fuel the Mezo. Amazing hypocrisy.

itachi started the fight when he attacked kakashis friend and comrade kurenai.
if itachi is loyal to konoha then yes he will stand there and let them exact justice for invading their land.
