For one piece ... I'm like on episode 66 and it took me like a day to get that far lol if I read the manga will it cover more faster and more detailed?

And if you don't know what episode 66 is , its like the episode when Luffy and Zoro "fight"

Manga will go faster because 1 episode is usually 1-3 chapters in the anime. But you read a chapter in 2 minutes U_U

Don't read the manga just because you can get caught up faster. It's quite clear that you enjoyed the anime seeing how watched 66 episodes in 1 day (apparently, which I don't buy or I think it's an exaggeration :p). Just stick with the anime, it has nice OST's/voice-acting and the OP anime does a good job during those sad/emotional moments.

I'd recommend watching the anime for now (up to episode 521 cause IMO that episode was the peak in animation quality) then read the manga after that (pretty much watch the anime till the TS, then read the manga from TS & onward, that's what I did).

Manga is quicker. I'd say catch up with the manga and then watch the anime also from where it is currently.

Actually what he said was correct,he said he watched 66 episodes in about a day.I have all the episodes downloaded on my computer,so i can easily have it add up the minutes for 66 episodes - it's about 26 hours and 17 minutes.

It is possible that he stayed awake for atleast 26 hours straight and watched the whole time, but then again he said "in like a day" so it could of been a day and a half (36 hours) that he watched the first 66 episodes (26 hours).that's more plausible cause he could of gotten hours of sleep in that time and still watched that much.

Yes i analyze this for a joke lol.

Also i think the animation got better starting with the timeskip, although beforehand was nice aswell.

I watched the anime first a few months ago and as of now im rewatching alot, then i will go into the manga sometime later.

Just do as you feel.At your own pace.If you feel like reading the manga than do it and not simply because it's faster, cause being behind is better than being caught up and having to wait weekly for new chapters.

Just a quick question. Are you watching OP Subbed or Dubbed?

Just my opinion but the subbed is 50 times better then the Funimation dubbed, and infinity better then the 4kids crap.

It took me close to a month to catch up to where the time skip happened watching the anime. Up until after Skypiea the episodes go 1-3 chapters an episode. After that, they start to follow the 1 chapter 1 episode rule.

I would say watch the anime at least to the time skip just to get the full experience. There is no rush really to catch up.

The only thing better about reading the manga is knowing what is canon and what isn't. Specially after Skypiea. The Long Ring Long Arc is mixed with so much filler and the crap after it.

Actually I like the funimation dub., ofc the sub is much better but I think it's a pretty good dub. I just can't stand Usopp's dub., that's it. And the 4kids dub... let's just say it's a good thing that the company is bankrupt.

It is good. They did a pretty good job displaying the emotion that the subbed version brought, specially Usopp, but all I hear is Piccolo, Krillin, and Trunks. Not to mention I hate Luffy's English voice actor. He annoys the crap out of me. Because of those reasons, it downgrades the English dubbed for me.

List of filler.

But with One piece theres alot of episodes that have canon and filler in it,like extended scenes or scenes based on canon but didn't happen in the manga but those are fine. The list just pionts out episodes that are entirely made of filler.

No dont listen to these fools. Go watch it until fishman or up to you until recent. Then read the rest

Just skip the fillers. Search for it

Depends on what kind of person you are. I'm an impatient mothafukka so I need to know everything that happens as soon as it happens so I read the manga. I still watch the anime occasionally, mostly to see important fights and how badass they look once animated. You could always just watch the anime as unlike nardo, the fillers in one piece are actually bearable so there aren't many downsides to watching the anime.

I guess my point is do whatever the hell you want :D

read the manga. 2 reasons! 1) they changed some things in the beginning of the anime because o the kids that watch it (ex: what really happened to Zeff's leg and how luffy really caught Django's chakram). 2) it will be faster. But by all means, watch the current episodes once youve caught up to them manga-wise.
