Should i read shokugeki no soma

Definitely. Season 1 ended on chapter 60 so give it a try.

It's entertaining. If you like shounen you will like this. Be aware that all the typical shounen tropes are in full force, much more than your average series of the same genre, truth be told.

Still, it's definitely an above average read.

Edit: I forgot that the anime didn't even get to the best part of the tournament nor did it show the winner, so you should at least finish the anime's arc through the manga.

Read it.It is much more interesting.Season 2 will come next year in spring/summer(acc. to some sites when I searched for it)
