Should I read or watch AoT?

I want to start getting into AoT because it seems to be extremely popular. I wasn't sure if the anime or manga isn't as good as the other or if they are both excellent

Anime's got some sick soundtracks, animation, not as gory tho

YES. Watch it. First episode will make you want to see the second just so that you feel better. Then you're hooked. If it isn't the awesome storyline, the cliffhangers, the epic theme song, or how awesome Mikasa is, then watch it for the gore.

I prefer the manga over the anime, but don't be fooled by the hype, it is not as good as people make it out to be (imo).

The anime does do a good job really nice ost's ... The manga is great , but It's Monthly avg 45 pages every 4 weeks compared to magi 18 pages x4 is a whole lot than 45

The anime is good, but I think it's best for you to read the manga. It's very good and it definitely does deserve the hype it gets. It already sold well even before the anime got announced
