Definitely. I suggest watching the 2011 anime first (which is amazing) and then read the manga where it continues off. The manga art wasn't that good before the hiatus, so watch 2011 anime first and then continue with manga. It's worth it.

The first arc, the hunter exam, is one of my favourites. You'll see a lot of resemblance with the chuunin exam arc too.

Go watch the anime, don't read the manga until you're caught up with the anime. Who said HxH is better than OP? OP is better IMO.
