[Question] Should I read Bleach?

Hype around this series has picked up since this Aizen character and he's super popular. My brother also loved this series to death, but eh I don't really see the appeal..

My other brother tried it and said that it's crappy because of 1 fight he saw. He said all they did was swing their sword one time, a guy dodges it and then they go into like 5 chapters of explaining how he dodged it which makes me think twice.

But is this series worth picking up?

You can watch the anime but you can only watch up to the the fullbringer arc because the anime got cancelled after that. So if you wish to continue the series you'll have to read the manga.

Good things:

1. Introduction in series (Shinigami Agent arc) is amazing.
2. Second arc (Soul Society arc) is so damn amazing. I like every chapter of it, from the beginning to the end. All was very good written.
3. Third arc (Hueco Mundo arc) is also amazing, it is not good as SS arc, but it is my favorite, it's overall good written.
4. Beginning of War arc, I think this is prime of the series (tho, someone would disagree), for me this part of the war arc is better than Marineforn arc and Ninja world arc.

Flaw from my point of view:
1. Big pannels, which made chapters shorts. We all have problem with this, you will have problem with this if you catch up with series, if you start reading it chapter for chapter, it won't bother you.
2. Fourth arc (Fullbring arc), I think this could be written in much better way, tho, I believe (or at least I want to believe) that this is needed for something Kubo plan in future (he introduced and develop some weird character here).
3. Second part of the war arc, horrible written part of the war overall (tho I still would prefer it over Kaguya's arc in Naruto), good thing about this is that it has long time before series end, so I hope quality will get better.

If anything you should read first part of the series (Agent of Shinigami arc, Soul Society arc and Hueco Mundo arc) it is really awesome.

If you are anime watcher, than skip fillers they are horrible.
