I'm on episode 15 where they just finished the tournament thing and they're back in pixie dust land trying to find a sword while flying a giant sperm

My question, is the rest of SAO II just shit filler? Or is there actual "story" that I should keep watching for?

That is the part where they go on the game quest. Its not bad they show some new moves and u get to see Sinon on Alfiem online :|

After that I don't know. I kinda stopped watching. Surprisingly that is also exactly when I stopped reading the books Lol

Well the next 4 episodes are about an quest. It is still better than the previous ALO. Cool bossfight and stuff but it doesn't even come close to SAO or GGO. After that Asuna becomes the MC for a few episodes like 6 i thought just some emotional stuff about her real life and then she has to do something in the ALO world for someone it is like that. If i were you i would still watch it because it shows character development and some Feels. SAO 3 will probably become way better than the first 2 seasons that is what i hear from people who read the novels because of the alcization arc or something.

Yeah. Kirito gets trapped in an online world without his memory I think.

Is it a serious season? With survival for the fittest like the first 15 episodes? I liked SAO the most from all arcs till now.

more emotion a little less combat

This. First there will be the mini Excalibur arc which is just a fun little side story. After that there's mother's Rosario arc, which has little action, but a lot of emotion, it mainly centers around Asuna and her new friends she helps out.
