Ok, so I watched all of Shippuden up until Asuma's death (and all of Naruto for that matter) in English dubb, and never really thought anything about it. I just got tired of waiting endlessly for episodes that may or may not come out once a week.

So I switched to sub. I got bored yesterday and decided to go back and watch an episode of Shippuden that I liked, the Base didn't have it in english dubb so I watched sub. There was a part where Naruto jumped infront of someone and took a ton of kuni to the back, I stoped for some reason and went to another site to watch it dubbed, and it was ridiculous!! Instead of taking kuni to the back he was hit with some jutsu and it wasn't near as shocking or exciting!

So now I'm wondering what else would have been so much better if I had been watching Subbed instead of Dubb.

So I ask, do you think it's worth it to go back and watch at least shippuden subbed? I'm on christmas break so i've got time to kill ;)

Let me know what you think!! If you don't have time for a comment at least vote!! Thanks!!

Dub sounds more childish to me... And it sounds less real so I prefer Subbed

the differences in sub and dub are a lot of the sexual innuendos are taken out and theres a lot less swearing

if youre watching it on disney x d, you may as well shoot your tv

i reccommend watching both

Iv always watched sub so I cannot give you any info on the dubbed. However, if I was in your position I would go back to watch the main episodes just to see if you missed any.

Dont waste your time bro, They dont do the japanese version any justice at all.
The Japapese actors are soo one with the character like every voice has an idenity, where as the english it just seems like 3 bored voice actors lol

It's mostly a matter of preference. I initially started watching the series in English Dub, so I got accustomed to the character voices, But once I switched to Subbed, I found it more entertaining - The subbed voices 'fit' more than the dubbed voices, if you know what I mean, with a few exceptions (Naruto/Sasuke/Kakashi's Dubbed voice actors). You're not missing much in the way of animation, however, sometimes the Dubbed episodes leave out information that the subbed ones include, and some scenes have been deleted completely in the dubbed version - for example, scenes that involve bloodshed are lessened dramatically, which in my opinion, takes the dramatic thrill out of the episodes (i.e. During the chunin exams, after Tenten lost to Temari and fell on her fan, she spat out blood in the subbed version; in the dubbed, she merely coughs/groans). The Dubbed version also takes much longer to release episodes; the subbed episodes are released almost weekly. And then there's always those extra omake's after the ending credits that the English version completely scrapped from the series, but that's not really a cause for concern, since it doesn't affect the plot in any way. In short, if you have the time and you don't mind, go for it, and watched the subbed version. Also, seeing as you haven't quite watched the series from the beginning, you should do so; Everything makes alot more sense when you've seen it from the start.

Yeah I love the Sub now, that's all I watch, but for a long time I didn't, and what im asking is should I go back and watch the earlier episodes in subb? Lol I watched all of the Naruto episodes in English Dubb and I was always kinda thinking man there hardly is any blood, and i just thought that was how it was, but after switching to subb, I now realize I was being lead astray!! lol

Hearing the opinions so far I think I may go ahead and start from the beggining again in Japanese.

Trust me just watch the sub but the good quilty ones, I watched anime 1 til now in japanese been following Naruto Since 11th Chapter of Manga series.

If its Japanese, trust the japanese to make it the best they can, it massive in Japan and it has good voice actors whereas europe and america the dub didnt trust in the Naruto francise or low bidget hired stupid actors for the dub version.

Well thats what i think lol
