Should edo tensai be considered prep?

Most people on the base say things like" kabuto edo army gg" or "oro edo kage gg" but don't take into consideration the process both kabuto and oro had to go through to :

Get the bodies or a good amount of dna
Find living sacrifices
Then perform the jutsu/ritual

Before the living dead can even be used in battle. So in a fight/vs thread should all of what was mentioned earlier be considered prep OR should it be considered a part of their arsenal and that they can just summon coffins at will?

I dont think so, regular summonings take prep to, (getting a contract and such), this is just a contract that is high maintenance.

I think it should be preped, but it's not seeing that Kabuto was going to solo Orange Mask Tobi.

Hmm I think it must be considered prep.One must find/take DNA from the target desired.That can not be considered an easy and quick task.
Plus there must be a body to be used as a container for the edos.In a battlefield this is easy to obtain but in a 1vs1 one must have this prepared from before.
So yes,it is prep time,Kabuto stated that it took him quite sometime to obtain the DNA and we know that Oro made expirements for years and that's the only reason he had DNA with him(kages case).
Not to mention that the DNA and bodies supplies are not ulimited,you can stock up,but on a point you will need to make a refill.

yeah but......you have a point.
Even so its not like they perform the justu mid fight. they Do the ritual beforehand and during the fight they just start summoning coffins. While with a summoning jutsu it still takes time(biting your finger weaving handseals etc.)

True but the jutsu itself is the ritual. The actual summoning out of the coffin is just for ease of travel
