No, Obito is acting out his own will. He was only told that they cannot stop Kaguya unless Sasuke and Naruto use their powers together. Naruto never asked Obito to go get Sasuke, he is acting out his own wishes. So, technically speaking. Both Naruto Fans and Sasuke Fans should thank Obito as without him, both will die.

Then we would also have to thank Kishi for having Tobirama create Edo-Tensei, which was used by Orochimaru, then improved by Kabuto to revive Madara. Then we must thank BZ for forcing Obito to revive Madara, putting him in need of later revival, as well as White Zetsu for giving Madara his Rinnegan. This allowed Madara to fatally injure Naruto and Sasuke, allowing them to meet Hagoromo, and Naruto gains the power necessary to revive Obito. Obito's power is then used to save Sasuke.
