Lightning in the naruroverse is one of the 5 basic elements and it involves the user manipulating electricity to attack their enemy. The user can pass lightning through both the air and the ground.
Lightning is strong against earth as lightning can just travel through it breaking it up, lightning is weak against wind as wind has no physical form for the lightning to damage and is a natural insulator.
Lightning is also one part of both storm release.
Some lightning users are: Third raikage, darui, kakuzu
Some lightning moves:Lightning release armor, chidori

*I jump out of my tree and sit underneath it, I then start to meditate. As i start to meditate i concentrate on lightnings properites and its power and speed. I concentrate my thoughts on lightnings destructive nature and its relationship with chakra. I then focus my chakra trying to mimic the lightning,as time goes by and i have a better feel for lightnings properties my chakra begins to rush around my body causing it to rub and vibrate at a high frequency.*
How was that sensei? i think i got some raiton chakra by the end.

*I sit in my meditative position and calm both my mind and chakra flow. I then let my chakra flow slowly throughout my body. As time passes i very gradually increase its speed until it is speeding throughout my entire chakra network. While still concentrating on lightning and its properties*

*I continue as before with my chakra flowing through my body, but now i make it rub against itself, causing friction. I then speed up my chakra flow thus increasing the rubbing and friction, i then reach a point were my chakra is going fast enough and causing enough friction to create static*

*I continue as before making my chakra speed around its network creating friction. I then focus it into my outstretched right hand increasing its speed and friction. I concentrate my chakra through my hand and cause it to emit small sparks around my hand.*

*I increase my focus and continue as i was doing before, using the friction of my chakra to create sparks. But i further this process by further increasing the speed of the chakra through my hands and thus increasing the friction. I then focus the chakra in an attempt to make it spark out of my hand, some time passes as i try to make the raition chakra emerge. Eventually i have gotten use to the feel of the high speed chaka flow through my hand, this allows for a greater degree of control. So with my newfound familiarity, i push more chakra into my hand then any previous attempt, creating a surge of chakra in my palm. The hairs on my hand then stand on edge as i bring forth raiton chakra from my hand, resulting in visible electricity sparking and arcing out of my palm.*
