Shonen Manga VS. Marvel & DC

I love Manga since the dawn of time. But who will withstood the test of time, I guess Marvel & DC will be forever famous.

Movies that are Marvel & DC inspired are hitting the block buster. Manga based.. well Dragon Ball is a FAIL!

My brother has like 97-98% of the comics(Superman, Batman, Spiderman and X-men), too bad that manga isn't brought to my city at all, I would have them aswell xD
I only like Naruto, DB and DBZ tbh from the shonen, compared to that, I like almost everything that came from Marvel and DC, but still, Naruto is my favorite.

The only Shonen I read are Naruto, OP, Bleach, DB, DBZ, YYH, FT, Death Note, Soul Eater, Pokemon, Digimon, Rave Master, and Yugioh.

As a whole I prefer the DC and Marvel comics.

Hmm while I do love Shonen Manga, I prefer DC. Because in DC female characters don't suck as bad as they do in Shonen. Ex: Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Big Barda etc.

Marvel and DC has the prestige in making character designs. Incorporating their designs with human anatomy. Marvel and DC characters are hard to emulate in drawing. Unlike Manga, anyone can draw it.. even a noob like me.

That's why Marvel and DC are best when it comes to art-ship.

Marvel & DC are American culture and guess what, Hollywood is in America. Obviously, these movies will connect better.

Dragon Ball is major fail because it's still Japanese manga essence and when you put shitty storyline and America actors, it's bound to fail.

All-in-all, I prefer Manga (not obligatorily Shonen) over Comics.

Majority of people who love Comics are from America anyways. So, it's a restrained trend while manga is very popular in Asia; but is also transcending in European and African regions.

Reading manga is much better for me, reading comics is not my type. Although after watching the Avengers, I'm leaning more towards Marvel instead of shonen, movie-wise.

to me reading manga is better, but watching movies inspired by comics are by far better. For example, Iron Man 2 far exceeds the fail Dragonball movie...hollywood really screwed Dragonball up.
