Didn't see the total defeat coming last chapter because I didn't see how they could possibly win with the remaining chefs against what Central still has left.

This chapter kinda opened the door with a bit of a cheap move by having the Central side all tired out from cooking on a super high level.

I would've rather seen that in the previous round someone sacrificed himself to elevate another persons dish and more or less abandoning his own in order to take out one of the three monsters. They almost did that with Kuga and Mimasaka but they didn't really push through on that.

Maybe the author is saving the 2 on 1 strategy for a later round.
