Hayama seems really confident in his dish, and by the looks of it for good reasons, although Soma seems like he did something amazing too
Glad we saw that flashback with him and Erina, and we got to see his evolution since the Autumn Election, maybe now that he has his own style just like Hayama had maybe they somehow are on equal grounds
We have to wait and see

This actually might be a plot twist from the writer himself. Imagine that from this chapter onward it'll practically be unpredictable? Like, imagine of Soma wins anyways. I'm so hype for the next chapter, and it's nice to see that Erina and Soma's relation is getting better and better.

He's not being himself because he's getting manipulated. Remember that hayama won against souma because he lacked his own cooking way. The way hayama is acting right now is not the true hayama. I guess he's going to lose or tie.

Well the problem is that Soma has a lot riding on this match and story wise it also is about time he takes down a seat. But the way this is set up would make it a bit weird if he would win this one.

Out spice the spice master with almost the same dish. He tried doing that in the three way finals and failed. If he would succeed now, all the hype Hayama received and his central training would become useless and make Soms into a pretty scary guy. That would put him in the middle of the elite ten. And I have no idea how the story would continue from that point on.

He probably isn't going to be labelled a misfit from that point on, and central will be gunning for him even harder.
