Sorry I didn't get this out there when the chapter was new, but I was wondering something about one of the recent chapters. I want to know who didn't/doesn't get the Shogi references. In the one where Kakuzu and Shikamaru were talking, Shika called Kakuzu a 'bishop'. Who thought they were talking about chess? You'd be wrong. Before (or after), they were talking about 'gold' and 'silver'. Did you think they were simply talking about the Gin Kin brothers? Nope. I know it's not a very common game in North America, and really anywhere that isn't Japan, but I'd like to know if anyone didn't get the Shogi references. It's really bugging me. I mean, I play Shogi (online because you can't buy a freaking Shogi board anywhere in North America!!!), so I get it when Shika's calling Kakuzu merely a bishop, and when Shika refered to the Gin Kin as 'gold' and 'silver', Kakuzu said that they had the Alliances 'gold' and 'silver'. The 'gold' is Asuma, but who's the silver!?!? I'd like to know. Also, if anyone would like to give me Shogi advice, that'd be appreciated.
