he tried to, but this Ao guy used his byakugan and he knew those were Shisui's. But that wasn't for Danzo becoming Hokage, he was confident that by the time Hiruzen and Tsunade dies, they'd be forced to let Danzo become Hokage. The one he used KA on was to let the samurai guy say that the Leaf would be the best in stuffs blah2x, I forgot. sorry

The only realistic option is Sasuke. Since we never saw real power from Shisui. Don't forget that fillers aren't legit. In the manga Kishimoto never showed us Shisui's real strength. He was described as the strongest....But so was Hiruzen,you get the point.

References to the beginning are slightly dicey if you plan on comparing them to current power levels and the intensity with which fights take place. Theoretically, Hiruzen was God of Shinobi since he took on Hashirama and Tobirama and Orochimaru all together when he wasn't even in his prime ('coz he was old).

@topic: Assuming Taka Sasuke-> Early MS Sasuke, since EMS Sasuke should be referred to as Indra Sasuke(After SO6P)/Pre-Indra Sasuke (before)...

It all was a miscalculation of Shisui, he didn't know Danzo was stable to genjutsu(while Danzo had all intel on him) and not to mention that this Danzo was ten years ago and probably another Danzo than the one Sasuke fought. (though he fought 3v1, if it wasn't Tobi and Karin he would be dead by now)

Let's say Shisui is equal to Itachi, (which is stated in the manga), Itachi has the upperhand fighting Sasuke in everything except stamina, this probably wouldn't be the same if Itachi was healthy.

We can't discuss it if we haven't seen any fights of Shisui, but the most accurate we can say now is that he > Taka Sasuke.

Why danzo called anbu? Because he's dirty bastrd. Though he took sushi eye himself face to face. Seriously, one eye shisui is cripple especially getting neg like that. The best he could do is take one eye danzo, maybe two two eye Danzo

Manga shows itachi has susanoo on top of hebi sasuke(which is over kill obviously), but ms sasuke is quite different. So ms itachi>ms sasuke can only be speculation
