The wait could be attributed to the technique being of a certain level/calibre that it's more on the SotSP's level and requires attributes found it both Uchiha and Senju lines. Symbolic of Shisui transending his Clan's Curse of Hatred?


... I'm rambling I suppose. But f*ck it, I'm immensely bored and I like Shisui. In the end, only Kishi knows and even then I won't hold my breath - a lot of it seems to have been done on the fly, reworked and changed to suit.

You get the impression that MS is incredibly rare but personally? I don't think so. Not with the way they love and the wars they've endured - was it filler, than info Itachi shared with Sasuke about clansmen killing clansmen (civil-war-style) to achieve MS/EMS?

To be honest, between canon - fanan - head-canon and filler - I'm a bit lost nowadays.

I get the impression that Kotoamatsukami is a known technique - to the Clan. Before Shisui attained it. They recorded various techniques manifested over the years?

As for Shisui, is it Kotoamatsukami in both eyes - no variations, no differences between them? No other techniques.... just, that one OP technique with a cool-down that would make vanilla WoW vets cry?

You don't know that, it's stated early in the manga that the higher level missions usually involve conflicts with ninja from other villages. In their very first mission team 7 got into a conflict with a mist ninja, it's very plausible they met during a mission. The evidence points toward shisui and Itachi growing up and training together being best friends and sharing similar ideals, everything you describe is conjecture with nothing to back it up. Granted, my scenario isn't ironclad because it was never specified in manga, but evidence suggests it's closer to the truth than yours.

They went up against Rouge nin not standard nin so that hardly applies, and there was no conflicts between the villages outside of world war. We already saw how sensitive it can be when 1 on payroll nin was killed by hiashi. Even eternal conflict can start war, so for shisui to cross paths with AO outside of war is little to none.
There's no evidence of shisui being close to itachi's age, given the fact that his father was from tobirama's time.
