The sage even before he became the 10 tailed host was already a god.
He created the 10 tailed using ying yang release, defeated it, sealed it in him and used chibaku tensei which its said to be the moon and buried the 10 tailed body there.

The SO6P would win that guy was strong as hell, he manage to defeat the 10 tails which is all the 9 bijuus in one body and put it in his body that guy was in a whole different level that guy most be OP as fukk, I'm assuming that in this fight he has the 10 tails in him so I go with him and even without the 10 tails I bet he would win.
