Shisui and Itachi should have teamed up and Murdered Danzo

I don't see how Danzo could deal with them both, two high level Sharingan Users.

I'm actually confident that even Shisui could have beaten him, even if we know nothing about his powers. Yet, having Koto Amatsukami suggests that he was on Itachi's level. Plot made it though that they didn't kill him. Perhaps it was difficulty, since Danzo was the leader of ANBU, knew all of their powers and knew some tricks, and also might have had always back up for help in case any of them betrayed him.

I think they believed Danzō was a necessity. No matter how much they may have despised him personally, they all had the same philosophy. Shisui was probably a Root shinobi, and Itachi had the same philosophy about Shinobi as Shisui, so... So they believed Danzō was more useful to Konoha alive rather than dead.

Also, two Uchihas assassinating a Konoha Elder? What if someone saw? That'd be catastrophic for not only the Uchiha, but their honor as well.

It would change nothing plus Itachi choose to help konoha not Uchiha so why he should kill Danzo? Even if Danzo dies Uchiha will still attack Konoha.....

Yes, but I wonder why he didn't do that prior to losing his eye. Or at least when he was left with that other eye.
