So... nothing .__.

Alright, explain to me the difference between a two handed strike and a one handed strike; why would you choose one over the other and what weapons generally suit one style or the other?

Yupp @_@

A One-Handed Slash is different in that it carries less force behind it, and as a result isn't as powerful or fast as a Two-Handed Slash, however it allows for more maneuverability, and is easier to chain attacks after. A Two-Handed Slash carries more power behind it and is therefore more powerful and faster, but it is harder to follow up and offers you less maneuverability than a One-Handed Slash

I just realised the title of the thread .__.

So knowing that, you can imagine that combining the two styles, with some intricate footwork, will lead to a devastating series of chained attacks; combining ample power and manoeuvrability.

Kenjutsu is not just retricted to swords, most sword styles (Generally Japanese Kenjutsu) teach you to also use your scabbard as a secondary weapon when the time calls for it. As such, you'll be dual wielding a single hand style. This leads on to another question; What are the advantages of a reverse-grip in conjunction with a slightly shorter sword?

Then tell me what chakra can do to boost your kenjutsu effectiveness.

The advantages of a reverse-grip in conjunction with a slightly shorter sword are that you can strike fast. You can also swing your arm back to stab an opponent. It allows you to have a free hand for something else. It can also be useful when cutting rope and wires.

Chakra can boost damage of kenjutsu by adding more length to a sword, sharpness to a sword, or if you add elemental chakra add effects to strikes like adding fire chakra for burns or lightning chakra for paralyzing effects.

Very good, time to draw your sword!

>_>
<_<
Leave it in the sheath... I don't want anyone to get sliced up by accident.

(Ken Rendan no Jutsu) - Sword Barrage Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 25
Description: With this technique, the user will make a sequence of slashes with their sword and finishes with a powerful final slash dealing liberal damage to their enemy.

Diagonal, horizontal and vertical slashes; one handed slashed to begin with finishing with a two handed slash to deal the final dose of damage. State everything as accurately as you can, foot placement, direction and target of the slash, which hand is holding the weapon, where you are driving power from etc.

Try it against me, I shall respond by countering your slashes and hurting you if you fail.

*Holds my still sheathed sword in front of me, taking a basic stance with my left foot forward and right foot behind. Right foot is up on the ball of the foot, ready to take weight, otherwise weight is distributed equally between my feet. I hold the sword with my left hand just under the guard and my right hand holding firmly close to the pommel of the handle, holding the sword at a 45 degree angle from my head holding the grip of the sword about waist height.*

That's the kind of detail I need in your posts... right through to each slash you attempt. Try at least three weaker strikes, varying between vertical, horizontal and diagonal slashes, finish with a powerful two-handed slash of your own choosing.

I take a basic stance with my right foot forward and left foot behind. I take the sword with my left hand out of the sheath, holding the sword with my left hand holding it towards you. I then make a quick diagonal strike starting from your left shoulder going down across your chest and ending the strike at your right hip. I then put my right foot in front and my left foot back and give my right hand the sword. I then strike you with a horizontal strike across your chest putting more power into the middle of the blade. I then using the same force and footing do a vertical strike form the top of your head to the bottom of your stomach. I then switch my footing putting my left foot forward and my right hand behind me. With my sword in my left hand I then do a horizontal strike at your knees making it hard for you to walk. To finish it I hold the sword with both of my hands I do a upwards diagonal starting from your left hip and ending at your right shoulder.

For the sake of training, I'm going to free-form dodge the attacks xD

As you move to make your first diagonal strike, I quickly shift my left foot behind my right, placing it firmly on the ground as I reverse my hands positions on the blade while lowering the pommel to my left hip to catch your blade.

As your blow is deflected and you move into your second slash, I the point of my blade under yours as I hold the hilt of my blade above the right side of my head while not altering my foot position. This causes your blade to be safely deflected up the length of my blade, leaving you in a very open position as your hands and sword would now be above your head.
However, not taking advantage of the opening, I allow you to follow through with the vertical strike before I lift the tip of my blade up so now my entire weapon is above my head, horizontal to the ground with the tip pointed to my right. I also shift my right foot backwards to better cope with the weight of your slash, before throwing your blade off to my left side as I make a diagonal slash to your open neck area, stopping myself before the strike lands.

Alright, I've seen enough. You need to keep the opening slashes quick and short, utilising the one handed slashes, only placing your other hand on the hilt when you attempt the final power slash. For the opening slashes, try to aim the impact towards the tip of your weapon so ti doesn't get caught in your opponent's body, only using the mid-section of the blade for the finishing blow.

Now you will practice with a training dummy, to save me effort xD

Use your well trained taijutsu skills to deliver a couple of well placed punches, before drawing your sword and delivering two slashes to finish it. I prefer to use an upwards, diagonal, one-handed slash followed by a two handed slash that traces back along the same slash for the finish.

I would say lazy tho I would probably do the same thing xD

Korra puts her sword back in her sheath then runs up to the dummy and delivers a left handed punch to were the dummy's neck would be. Korra then switches hands and uses her right hand to deliver a right handed punch to the dummy's mid section (were the stomach would be for a human). Once this is done she takes her sword from her sheath and does a upwards, diagonal, one-handed slash with her right hand hitting the dummy from its right hip going up to its left shoulder. Korra then finishes it with a two handed slash that traces back along the same slash from the first slash.

Very good, though I've just realised that's Asuma-sensei's finish jutsu in Ninja Storm xD So it works significantly better with smaller blades such as his trench knives, tantos or maybe even kunai... the latter held in a shien (reverse) grip of course xD

If you've played the Legend of Zelda games, or even Super Smash Bros. This is Link's Spinning attach, Up + B in Smash Bros xD

Kabuto takes a stance with his tantō back in his sheath then runs up to the dummy. As he gets to the the dummy he starts spinning clockwise unleashing his tantō. He delivers several spinning strikes on the dummy.

Excellent!

Another one of Link's moves O__O'

( Rakkasui ) - Falling Water
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 25
Description: The user will drop down upon the opponent from mid air pointing their sword downwards and drilling it down into the opponent.

Leap up into the air above your target, holding your sword like a Pogo-stick, pointing the tip down at your target... then land on him thus impaling him with your sword. Of course this is a hard to pull of jutsu as it leaves you air borne, but being creative helps with this jutsu (like most of the ken/tai list really).

I leap up into the air above your clone, holding my sword like a Pogo-stick in my left hand, pointing the tip down at your clone. I then land on him thus impaling him with my sword in his chest.

(Bakuchi Tori Kuzu Oujou) – Gambling Bird Arrowroot Death
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user bolts in front of the enemy who they then strike with their sword handle before delivering several kicks that sends the enemy into the air. The user then bolts across to the far off location of the enemy who they then punch violently into an obstacle.

A pretty long winded attack, 'tis the nature of taijutsu and kenjutsu though. Only useful bit that you'd have a chance pulling off would be the handle stick to your opponent. You don't even have to fully draw your sword, just ram the pommel into your opponent in such a way to deal damage and open them up for the remaining sequence of strikes.

Tell me the best way to deal damage using this jutsu, in both the following scenarios; you get the chance to pull off the entire sequence of hits, and; where you only get the chance to strike with your sword handle.
