Well considering how Shino's style of fighting is very similar to Deidara's. He does has the ability to infest Garra's sand rather easily. However, Shino himself is a sitting duck, at least in most of the fights I remember of him. Therefore, I think Garra would finish him off before his bugs have the chance to completely counter his sand.

Shino bugs destroyed the Jubbi's mokuton body with some weird jutsu thingy, and probably can destroy some of Hashi's wood, but nah the venus fly trap can eat the wood, either way the bugs are history, and as for Gaara, no, his sand is to quick and hard,they wont be able to adapt in time, he needs prep to stand a chance against gaara.

He sure is underrated, but it truly is amusing that your selection of characters doesn't include a particular Uchiha who is weaker than all of the ones chosen (though he may be on the same level as one of them) XD
