Highly doubtful. I try to think of it as the Sharingan. Everyone is born with it, but there are always those special exceptions (this would be the MS, though you don't have to kill for the nano-sized bug).

There both from the Abarame clan as part of their blood line limit. Kimmaro had a blood line limit that was a physical trait as well. There is a episode/manga chapter that explains the Shinos clans abilities I think its around the episodes where their battling the other family who controls wasps because their physical blood line limits are similar in that they both host the creatures. The advanced form is was called a rarity even among his clan. Which is why Danzo brought him if I rember right. It should be in the manga around where Danzo is fleeing the Kage summit and the juitsu is used.

heres a link that says Torune Inherited the anitbodies to stop his bugs venom, its possible for Shino do do the same IF their Father/Son or he gets the bugs to do the same like he did against the Crystal style. I'm not going to look for the part about how the clan hosts the insects.

yeah same i don't think he will, it kinda is the opposite way shino fights now isn't it? he sends his bugs out and can control them from afar or scout with them, but the nano bugs you have to touch them to pass them on its just really powerful if you get the chance to hit them on a good spot like the face (OUCH!)
