In accordance to some story telling traditions, it is not uncommon that the chosen ones are miraculously conceived by a holy force. Virgin Mary conceived Jesus by means of the Holy Spirit. Anakin Skywalker was miraculously conceived by the Force, a holy entity.
Since this whole Shinju thing takes a Christian direction, it would not be unfitting for Hagaromo to be conceived via the Shinju. Perhaps Kayuga takes the role of Virgin Mary in addition to Eve.
Also, fruits are the seeds in which plants spread their genetic material. This genetic material most likely got mixed with Kayuga's and ultimately grew in the form of a Hagaromo embryo. So it makes sense even from a scientific perspective.
In fact, I might even go as far as to say that the outcome might even depend on what "soil" the fruit grows in. If it grows in a person, we might get a S06P. If it grows under a different condition, it might be another Juubi. (this leads to the speculation that the old Shinju produced a second fruit then died. This second fruit would turn out to be the Shinju reborn, the violent version of Shinju, however this is beyond the scope of this thread)
Also isn't it weird that no father was mentioned? I find it odd. Almost too odd.
