Here is where it gets tricky,

If we look closely the tree that Hagoromo showed Naruto is different than the one that was present on the battlefield.

I believe that Kaguya had developed a Chakra complex, where she sought herself as the only person to have Chakra.
When she ate the fruit to stop the war, her power was just more what she could contain, so her two sons were created, sasuke states that it is impossible for Kaguya to even exist, because of the amount of Chakra she has.

But we know that even after the fruit was eaten by Kaguya, there was still Chakra in the tree, so she merges with tree, and the tree becomes more hostile and gains Kaguya's abilities, her eye power and absorption abilites(hair), the tree becomes one with Kaguya.

I believe that Hagoromo and Hamura fought the juubi which was the mobile version of the tree trying to get all the chakra back, the chakra which Hagoromo distributed between humans.

Sorry but no you have misinterpreted events slightly.

Your right about Kaguya merging with the Shinju, but its not just abilities she got from it. She is not the same person she was when she ate the fruit.

She is a shinju kaguya fusion. The juubi itself is this fusion. The tree itself has no real purpose. Kaguya gave it direction and purpose. In turn the human Kaguya lost her way entirely. The basic desire to stop conflict continued but it was corrupted.

The moblie juubi is what Hagaromo and his brother sealed which was already a version of Kaguya + Shinju.

Ultimately, Kaguya IS the ten tailed beast.

I highly doubt that somehow. No real mother would ever try to kill the children that she carried around in her womb for 9 months. Ergo Kaguya must have created them using COAT.
