Shinju a bit underpowered?

It's a god. All chakra originates and belong to it. It's even the origin of Earth and living things, how is this beast so weak despite its hype?

It's suppose to make Earth tremble, or even break into pieces, or even destroy it completely. When are we seeing that?

I agree. The shinju seems alot weaker than it should be. The sage of six paths in a weakened state seems to be far more powerful than the shinju.

For two reasons it is underpowered

1-plot restriction
2-it was imperfect

I wouldn't say that is really weak but that it doesn't live to its hype. If he can create the earth, it should show powers capable of destroying it. + Manga proves it cannot lift mountains when it has been bounded by hashirama's seals. It hasn't shown much physical strength to be honest. I recall only bijuu damas.
However, what I find strange is that the current juubi has only 6 tomoes in its eye.
