Background Info.
History:
When Shinji was an infant, his father and mother were murdered by some rogue ninja. When Shinji was in his crib the ninja was going to kill him as well but felt horrible about killing a child. So he left him alone in the house with bot his parents dead. When the village heard of this his parents were cremated and were given a memorial, since they were both well trained and strong ninja, to the village they died giving there lives to protect there son. Shinji was later adopted by a far relative of Shinji's father. He was an old veteran of the military of Sunagakure but he had the foundation of raising a family, so they rather have him stay with his uncle then be left alone. As Shinji grew older, he was able to help his uncle around the house, helping him build small stuff like chairs, tables and other furniture. When Shinji grew to the age of 7, his goal was to enter the academy and be a splendid ninja. When his uncle heard news of this, he turned his back and said no. This left Shinji confused, he would ask him day after day, why he didn't allow him to join the academy. But his uncle would just reply, saying that he shouldn't be fooling around chasing dreams and stick to reality. This crushed Shinji, he would look at the kids throwing shuriken at the trees, or that weird kick with the bushy brows kicking a tree 100 kicks with one foot and 100 kicks with the other. One day while hiking for some fresh wood, Shinji noticed that his uncle was having rtouble walking, his uncle said he was fine. Upon returning to there house, his uncle collapsed and had a heart attack. He did whatever he could, since they were miles away from the village, he stayed by his uncles side and comforted him. His uncle told him his efforts were futile and he was going to die in a day or two. During that moment he decided it was time to tell Shinji that his parents were murdered by some rogue ninja. As he finished telling him how his parents lived there last moments protecting hm, his heart gave up on him. Before he died, he told him that his parents were excellent ninja, practically unstoppable to defeat when they were together. They were known as the "Deadly Couple" throughout the ninja world. When the ninja killed them, they just caght them in a vulnerable moment with you around. He mentioned that he did not want him becoming a ninja because he did not want his nephew to have the same fate as his Brother and his wife. As he took in his last breath and his heart the last beat, Shijnji decided to join the academy and avenge his parents. While packinh up, he noticed his uncle had a box hidden under his bed. He opened it and saw a blade, and a letter. He opened the letter and it read: "For my son Hirako Shinji, son this blade has been passed down from your great grandfather, to your grandfather, then unto me. It gives me great honor to hand this down to you for your Academy graduation gift. Handle it with care, polish it every day, and keep it close to you. Your great grandfather named it Sakanade, because for every attack or danger, theres always a counter to it all to make it benefit you.
From your father, Koketsu Hirako." Shinji then, after hard training, graduated from the Academy. He accomplished after everything the village had offered him, and left. He continues to travel, and is in search of a sensei to teach him him the wonders of the sword.
