All of the Ootsutsuki are somehow connected to the Dead Demon Seal. The mask that Orochimaru gathers from the Uzumaki shrine is housed under what is basically a shrine to Kaguya:

Compare the curtains on the shrine to Kaguya's hair, compare the three Spiral Formation to Kaguya's three eyes and Indra's Dojutsu and then look at all similarities between the masks and the Ootsutsuki:

I reckon that Hamura could be the transcendent form of Hamura just as Hagoromo lives on on a different plane of existence. At least that was my theory.

Juugo will be illustrated to be a descendant of Hamura, most likely - possibly Suigetsu, as well.

No - The Uzumaki were the original tenants of the Holy Tree (Wakunochi No Kami) before the arrival of Kaguya. Both the Uzumaki and the Hyuuga predate Kaguya.

Black Zetsu likely orchestrated the destruction of the Uzumaki -because- of their inherited knowledge/abilities in sealing jutsu (as they likely interfered with Hagoromo's plan to seal Kaguya the first time around).

Anyway - the Shinigami seal utilizes nature chakra to exceed the limits of the individual using the seal.

Nature chakra, you will find, is going to play a huge role in the upcoming discussion of the Uzumaki and the Hyuuga (Byakguan) - since that is where Kaguya derives her Byakugan abilities from (it is unclear whether her other abilities come from the nine-tomoe Sharingan or the Byakugan... or both).

The Shinigami seal/summon was developed by the Uzumaki in conjunction with the Hyuuga - as evidenced by the spiral (an old symbol of Taiji - the mixing of yin and yang) surrounded by the eight bagua.

Before chakra was distributed to people, both the Hyuuga and Uzumaki cultivated natural chakra in the form of (for the Uzumaki) Sages and Seals. Since humans had no need to draw chakra into their own being (as they were not using it for the purpose of ninjutsu) - it would have appeared somewhat different than any of the abilities demonstrated so far.

The Hyuuga would have directed the cycle of elements and events within nature. Lightning bolts strike where they direct, wind blows where it is needed, fire consumes and avoids with a mind subtly guided.

I am sure that some will soon come to accuse Kishimoto of trying to knock off the "Bending" from "Avatar" when it comes to the 'sages' amongst the Hyuuga - but we'll see if the story makes it that far.

But, the Juubi was sealed in Hagoromo making him the Shodai Jinchuuriki. He later split that into the nine Bijuu; after that he used the Gedo Mazo and Chibaku Tensei to created the moon. But, the Yin and Yang markings were used to seal Kaguya, weren't they?

It's not Viz, but normally pretty accurate. It fits with black Zetsu being created shortly before the sealing too. But was the Gedo Mazu sealed too or was it just trapped in the Chibaku Tensei?

I don't believe we have how the Juubi was sealed into Hagoromo yet. Perhaps it was the same as Naruto's? Kurama did say something about it being like the Rikudou's or something.

Lol that's ridiculous. The Byakugan and all the Uzumaki seals use chakra like any other jutsu for their sealing techniques and Kaguya is the progenitor of chakra.

People had no concept of chakra before Kaguya arrived. Stop dogmatically generalizing your assumptions when you have no means to support them. Neither the Hyuuga nor the Uzumaki have been shown to use senjutsu, just chakra and ninjutsu.
