Comments from the man in charge of the anime adaptation of titanic anime Shingeki no Kyojin seem to have put the kibosh on any hopes of a second season in 2014 as they are “busy with the OAD” – although he does at least concede they “would like to” make a second season “sometime.”

with the boss of Shingeki anime producers Wit Studio stops short of any concrete specifics but does offer some hope – although it seems patience will be required:

“I think we’d like to do a continuation of the main anime sometime, but this year we are grappling with the production of the anime DVD accompanying the limited comics [OAD].”

His use of “this year” in particular may imply production may not even start until 2015, although with the popularity of the franchise at boiling point this would seem hard to believe.

Hmm.. I wouldn't give up hope though. There is still a slight possibility of a season 2 this year.

Kinda guessed that. Season 1 went to chapter 24/25 and with only 52 chapters the second season would of been the same but have to wait longer as th manga is monthly. See what I mean?

Yeah, i heard they might postpone it for 2015..and there's that live action starting production in spring, so maybe it has something to do with it. I hope we'll get the second season in 2015..

Not really, if they had continued and had made season 2, imagine the time gap between season 2 and 3, probably 5-6 years. That would be even worse for the popularity

yeah thats the fate of animes to monthly mangas it's gonna be around 2 years for the next anime episodes to start back up, but there is some hope there are side chapters like issles notebook once called before the fall and the other a backstory on levi they may animate those one before the fall finishes and levis back story finishes. which may be less then a year

No ****ing shit, there is like nothing to work on. I'd come as far as to say that we might get the second season mid 2016 if we're lucky
