Anyone notice how they sing German in the Opening?
The first sentence is: "Sie sind das Essen und wir sind die Jäger." In English that means: "They are the food and we are the hunters." Also a lot of characters have German names, like: Franz, Armin, Reiner Braun, Berthold, Jäger/Jaeger, etc.
So my question is, shall the race in SnK represent the Germans? What are your thoughts about this?

Yeah, I know. Japanese people really think that Germany is a 'cool' country, do they?
I've been seeing a lot of German names/things in Anime lately.

It's heavily influenced by medieval Germany, but there is only one Half-Asian left, and that is Mikasa if I'm not mistaken.

If anything Gundam influence is probably the biggest reason for AOT success.
