So I recently watched Shingeki no Kyojin Episode 22 and i was sort of disappointed with the fighting Rivaille and Mikasa had with the Female Titan. However, the anime was a little saddening since Rivaille and all of Recon Corps were devastated by the deaths of fellow soldiers

Anime

Manga

There's gonna be a time when the anime reaches the manga and we have to wait for one month to get an anime/manga. U_U

If you're one of the persons that have been caught by the anime. Not just by the MAGNIFICENT art, but also by the story. Then after the anime's 1st season has ended you'll definitely go for the manga as well.

The anime is all canon. When it does get the go ahead for the 2nd season, you'll have to wait a while because it's very close on the manga.

Overall, it is Manga for me; though, I have to admit that I might be a little biased, since I started reading the manga before they decided to do an anime adaption. As for this particular episode, I believe the anime did a better job than the manga did at this point. The filler scenes that were added made for an even more gruesome theme. This the only anime I have watched that actually knows how to utilize fillers in the correct way. The added matters concerning Petra were so emotive that they were almost unbearable.

I prefer the manga because it shows more blood and guts o_O but the anime is amazing and during this episode when they dumped the bodies and we saw Petra, the animation was awesome there.

Manga is more gory and shit.
The Anime makes up for it with superior animation and great soundtracks.Overall its one the best anime adaptions up there with HxH,so i guess i choose the anime.

Fail troll... AoT got an anime show, because the manga was a super hit in japan. Even before the anime started, the amount of copies sold, was higher then manga like Fairy Tail. Think about it: why would you ever make an anime of a not so good selling manga? Do you know how much it cost to pay an studio?

Edit: my vote goes to the manga, because I started reading AoT for the gore+action. Same reason as why I read Gantz. However the anime (like almost all other anime adaptions) has censored a bit too much gore.
