Looks:

Shinato has a laid-back appearance and is inferior in stature to many around him. His lanky frame causes many people to try and punk him, but this usually ends with them in a hospital somewhere. He has both red eyes and red hair, trademark of his Uzumaki bloodline.

Usually, he is seen wearing some form of a hoodie and gloomy expression. These two things have become his trademark look. Numerous bandages litter his face due to his clumsiness and habit of falling down making him seem weak and injury-prone. If he was stark naked, many other bandages would be seen covering his body from his horrible dexterity and many fights he's been in. At one point in time, he tried growing his hair out. but ultimately decided on cutting it short. Girls think he is supremely cute, only failing to approach him because of his standoff-ish nature.

On his right hand, specifically the middle finger, Shinato wears a ring with a golden encrusted gem. He also has two thick, black gloves that are armored and covered in silver. When he battles, he wears these to keep his knuckles from getting injured. On the backside of the gloves are the Uzumaki famous whirlpool. This is how he learned he was from the Uzumaki clan.

Personality:

Shinato is an unusually quiet individual. This is most likely due to his lack of social skills which makes him uneasy to approach and make conversation with.When he does speaks, his voice is quiet, almost musical and littered with complex verbiage putting off commoners. His eyes tend to bore into the others when he does speak which turns off the other, causing them to flee with some outrageous excuse. Shinato doesn't mind though; he hates talking.

Not many people are familiar with him. His records don't reveal any form of relationship with anybody, even his own family, who are seemingly deceased. Never has he been seen smiling or laughing. Many believe this was due to some extreme trauma that befell him as a youngster. If asked about his it, Shinato would most likely lose his shit and attack in a blinding rage. Due to this, he is considered a dangerous person, many villages posting bounties for his capture.

Coupled with his disdain for human ignorance and other people who display a happy life, he is one of the most craziest and unreasonable people to walk the earth. He normally avoids all form of human interaction, choosing to travel by the longest and most difficult routes. He does enjoy nature, carrying a book on his person to record the numerous forms of life he witnesses. In fact, after happening upon an injured dog, Shinato began carrying for it, eventually making it his partner.

Background Info

History:

Shinato is not sure where he was born, neither is he sure of his exact age. All he remembers is awakening in a tavern in the Red Light District of Konoha surrounded by countless dead bodies, their insides ripped out, inside an empty building that was meant for reconstruction. Blood littered the walls along with a message scribbled out of the same gory material that read, "Remember me." Just as he finished reading the ominous passage, Konoha Police burst through the windows. It was at this point that Shinato began running and since then, he's been doing it for most of his life.

Eventually losing the police midst a crowd, Shinato ended up near the gates of Konoha where he fought off two guards who wouldn't let him pass. After leaving the city gates, Shinato slept out in the wilderness surrounding Konoha for a couple of days, fighting off search parties and the wilderness. When he felt the time was right, Shinato left the Land of Fire for good. With nothing but the clothes on his back, he set out to discover who he really was, leading him on a spectacular journey.

Shinato experienced many different places, allowing him to sight-see and grasp a better understanding of the world. Along his adventure, he became severely obsessed with the Uzumaki clan. He met many people and saw many things shaping him as a person and inflicting emotions he had never felt before. He eventually began caring for life and even caring for specific people like old man Dalan who was attacked by bandits in her small cottage off the edge of Kirigakure. After the battle with the bandits, Dalan allowed Shinato to set up a permanent base at her place and use it whenever he liked. It was here he also met Haru, Dalan's granddaughter whom he grew very fond of.

Despite the close bonds he formed with Dalan and Haru, Shinato once again continued his long journey. To this very day, Shinato still searches for his true identity, a source leading him to a village called Otogakure....
