I have the feeling the Shinju has a good connection in this. Not only does Shin talk like a Juubi jin like 'Chikara' pointed out above, but there was also a tree with a sharingan implanted into its trunk, if anyone noticed. :hmm:

....okay, I take it back. There MIGHT be a cnnection. Still, I'm not really sure. That thing might be something from the Shinju unrelated to Shin himself. Hooded guy did say he could also see what the mini-juubi saw, after all.
