shin megami tensei

i am considering buying a persona game for my psp, which of the following three titles is the best,

1. shin megami tensei persona
2. shin megami tensei persona 2:innocent sin
3. shin megami tensei persona 3 portable

For me I'd go with the first one. I like to start things from the beginning...unless it's how Final Fantasy rolls and the numbers doesn't indicate it's a sequel or something ,then it doesn't really matter.

I agree with paper get the first one.
Even if it is like Final fantasy and the number don't matter. You will definitely experience gameplay differently due to stuff being added and all that.
So I would get the first one used at gamestop reason being if in 7 days you can beat the game or find you don't like it they have a good return policy on used games.
