shikkotsurin is the land of slug i believe slugs also have sage mode
only snake frogs and slugs have sage mode because their homes are legendary Mount Myōboku,shikkotsurin ,and ryuchidou

thinking that its just those three is just like how people used to think it was just toads -.- i think every summon has a sage mode varient, considering that all thats needed for sage mode is to be one with nature, technically any animal can do that xD

i think everybody with great chakra reserve and endurance can learn sage mode (actually its not that many people ) but the 3 legendary hidden places are toad snake and slug places(mountains /kingdoms all the same). So for example I can imagine Naruto teaching it to someone for example Konohamaru.
