Shikkotsu also looks similair to Shikotsumyak. The land of bones. This allow the user to toughen their bodies. So, this could be why orochimaru orignally wanted kimmario body. TO TOUGHEN HIS BODY. I also think tat Shikkotsu is a way to gain sage energy, you just needed the Shikostsumyak.

However, whwn sasuke arrived. Oro wanted him because he had sharingan which could evolve into rinnengan and can gather senjutsu.

Well it means something like Damp Bone Forest or something, but I highly doubt it has anything to do with Kimimaro. It probably involves Slugs

Also, Mount Myobuki needs huge chakra. Shikkotsu needs hard bones while Ryuchido needs hard body. Thus from chakra to bones to body. Kinda makes sense

i think it has something to do with a slug sage mode because of what one of the pain bodies thought when jiraiya went sennin mode
