its confusing that shikkotsu forest and mountains graveyard can be in one and the same place and yet both the inhabitants of it unable to realize that its in one and the same place. If you search at google or wikia for both these locations this image pops out.

According to wikia Mountain's graveyard is suppose to be located at the north-most region of the land between sound/ rice and waterfall villages

Conclusion:

Thus this leads me to believe that the location of Shikkotsu village or rather its appearance has never been revealed to us, thus that image of old bones forest is just Mountain's graveyard. Well guys what do you say? Please share your thoughtful comments

maybe they are slugs romaing the area but you can't see them.

It's possibe that the shikkotsu forrest has trees literally made from bone unlike the Mountain's Graveyard which just has bones everywhere.

, I'm sure every konoha ninja can see katsuyu when she's summoned though, since slugs must live in moist environments in order to survive since they don't retain moisture so I'm unsure so they should be somewhere near the water village.
