Shikamarus condition has been confirmed! *Spoiler*

there are flashbacks before an important character die.
No flashbacks for shikamaru means he aint dead yet.

People that will mourn for him will be the one reminiscing the flashbacks.
So flashbacks are imminent or bound to happen.

Also her enthusiasm quickly died after seeing shikamarus state.

i noticed that bit but it doesnt look like tears it just looks like sweat also if they are tears they could be tears of joy also choji and ino aint exactly bursting into tears so until i see one of them moaning shikamarus death then he aint dead

I think he is alive. He was part of that flashback thing, you can see him with thought bubbles.

I don't think he's dead. If he did there would have been at least a reaction shot of Ino and Choji. Plus as many have said, his thoughts were apart of the flashback.

This could be both... the translations say different things as I saw... gramatically.
Either way, some people will be probably saved by Karin, but surely not Shikamaru, would be too obvious. He's about to die, yes.

hes not dead right now, but sakura seems to think there isnt any saving him so that could still be a confirmation of his fate. I really hope not though, kishi apparently hates ino-shika-cho right now.

I think we are about to witness everybody die throughout the next few chapters lastly with sasuke, sakura and hinata since those are the ones naruto's closest too. I also think tsunade could die by reviving everyone somehow, or obviously they will beat obito at some point and he will be able to revive most. just a theory though
