shikamaru's power comes from his intelligence. but he doesn't have much firepower. on the hand kakashi is a ninjutsu specialist and he is also an intelligent shinobi on the battlefield.
I say kakashi mid difficulty

no that's just naruto according to him kakashi can;
use his sharingan better than sasuke
smell better than kiba,

and kakashi has better taijutsu than lee (this might be true)

I am a big fan of Shikamaru but I say Kakashi has this one. Kakashi is almost as smart as Shikamaru and has more at his disposal to use. Kakashi has more options and would be able to follow Shikamaru's plans. Kakashi Mild difficulty.

Kakashi. Shikamaru may be smarter, but if by some miracle he has Kakashi pinned down and about to die, part of Shikamru's head or neck will be cut off with Kamui. I don't think Shikamaru could kill Kakashi fast enough to prevent this from happening

I guess it depends if shikamaru can get kakashi in his shadow possession jutsu, but i'm not too sure whether he can or not.

Even if shikamaru catches kakashi is his shadow technique, kakashi would just kamui him out!
Kakashi knows 1000 jutsus and shikamaru can only do those shadow techniques... that's it.

Here is the thing with Kakashi. He is versatile. He has mid to high skill in every form of shinobi combat, taijutsu, ninjutsu, genjutsu. He is fast, has dojutsu, high intelligence, and can even open a few gates. He doesn't really excel in any of those abilities to the point you could say he is the best or almost the best, but he is capable of effectively using and combining them as situation he finds himself in requires. That's why I consider him to be the strongest jonin of all villages. Shikamaru's intellect and shadows just aren't enough to counter the vast arsenal of skills Kakashi wields.

Idk... Kakashi's weakness has always been limited chakara

If anything he would have to end it quickly because the longer the battle wears on, the less of a chance he wins. One kumi would do it but shika's technique could easily control his body and have it miss or unusable.

The other problem is that if he gets caught it is over for him. All shickamaru hast to do at that point is throw that asuma's kumi into kakashi's head or dig out his sharingun.

Plus knowing shickamaru he would hide from the shadows and attack or find some way to obscure kakashi's vision and just prolong the battle.

my vote still goes to kakashi, but with high difficulty.
