Shikamaru the next hokage??

I Have a feeling that shikamaru might be chosen as Hokage over naruto, especially since he is showcased so much throughout the series and made a point to keep him alive through even impossible tasks. Also i think kishi might throw in a big twist to the end of the series that most people wouldnt see coming. This is all assuming tsunade dies while fighting Edo madara or someone else. And if he does do that i think kishi might come back to the series even though there are claims of it ending... What do you guys think about this.

He has shown that when put in a position of power like when he first became a chuunin he becomes supee serious and hardworking to keep his comrades alive

in terms of smarts definately. in terms of power? a kage needs to be able to protect his village in time of danger. shikamaru doesnt have the power to do so.

Naruto is finally in good standing with the village. Gaara is already a Kage. Naruto's dream has always been to be Hokage. Naruto's supposed to bring peace. etc.

Naruto NOT becoming Hokage would ruin the story.

but I agree unless Naruto grows up a little bit that might not be a very good

keep in mind when we first met Tsunade she was fighting with a childish naruto and crying when she saw blood....and she became hokage...I think Naruto can change a little bit

Dude, no char is perfect... We have seen some Hokages who lack some big stuff and they still are HOKAGES!.

A is incredibly fast and strong but hes dumb as hell, yet he still is HOKAGE. He has 2 smart ninjas backing him up.

Shikamaru can also have this,. He can have Naruto and Kakashi as his backup ninjas,.

Shikamaru HOKAGE? its possible. He is lazy as hell but if the entire village agrees with it, i am positive Shikamaru will take the position and help out the place he was raised and born.
