Uh, Team Asuma got most screen time (Hidan and Kakuzu arc and war? Lol) What's there to complain about.
A power Boost would only ruin shikamaru. Now if he had more chakra and could spam his shadow possesion + develop an S rank varient of the jutsu he'd be a serious Hokage candidate. (Kinda of like Minato, not OP though)
