If he does that on Gaara the sand will protect him. If he does that on Itachi, Sasuke or Madara, they can activate Susano'o or Amaterasu, or even use Tsukuyomi on him. If he does that on Naruto, he can use his chakra arms to stop the shuriken. If he does that on Kiba, Akamaru can intercept the shuriken. If he does that on Hidan, what's the point? He can't die. If he does that on a samurai, the armor can block it.

I've named tons of people who can block this method. Still think you're right?

Please tell me how you plan on learning to read. Elementary school wasn't enough? I said OBVIOUSLY HE ISNT BETTER THAN EVERYBODY
He can't beat everyone. He could kill a lot of people alive right now if he did this except for Bee, Naurto, Tobi, Sasuke, Kabuto

Ok so obviously Shikamaru is not even close to being better than everyone but he has the potential to be super OP and unbeatable.
Here's how.
First step, Shikamaru needs to put his Shuriken holster in a spot that no one puts there's
Second Step, Shikamaru get's someone in the shadow
Third Step, Shikamaru has either two options. He could either reach into his holster and grab a shuriken and throw it (He will not be hit because the person will grab nothing because of the positioning of his holster) or he could reach in a spot where his opponents holster is, grab a kunai and stab himself (he will be hitting himself with his fist because once again, the position of his holster)

Shikamaru, and the whole nara clan really, could easily be able to get super quick and super cheap wins over basically anybody. Of course, this wouldn't be very fun and would never happen because of plot no jutsu but just something to think about

Shoot, if you had that much time and preperation for ONE kill, you may as well just decap them.

just read the whole thing yeah it does kind of make sense. and also Shika might be smart enough to trap ANYONE in the shadows and ultimately kill them with 100 shurikens/ paperbombs.

The only flaw, however, is most of the op characters can simply break the shadows. Even A curse seal sound5 member was able to do it so yeah it should be a no brainer for any kage level shinobi to break out of shadow possession.

You can't use jutsu once you're under his possession, which is why tobi couldn't use his space time, even though it doesn't require seals..

tsukyomi , etc won't work/...

of course shika isn't > everyone , but the op is right, if kishi wanted, with that simple combo, he could make shika incredibly deadly

Thank you, and ya im not saying he could beat the elite. But any random person who is Jounin or below it would work on them. I never said he could destroy the OP characters but people get all butt hurt
