Shikamaru and Temari in the next chapter(s)?

As you can see in the picture Shikamaru is thinking in response to Naruto's thoughts.

Shikamaru and Temari is one of the most accepting pairings in the manga. While it has not happened yet, it is assumed by many that it will happen in the future.

I'm not saying that it will definitely happen. However if we assume that it WILL happen, I think it will happen in the next chapter or upcoming chapters.In other words, Shikamaru's condition now will lead into his relationship with Temari. Maybe Temari will be devastated over Shikamaru's condition and proclaim her feelings for him, (or something like that, whater works.)
What do you think?

You are probably right on this...That is if Kishi decides to go that route. Kishi doesn't ever really focus on any of the pairings in Naruto. They are kind of half a** done and then forgotten for a long while then maybe a panel or 2 might show up to give a bit more of it.

I would expect Tamrai to have something to say about Shikimaru's condition but I do not expect Kishi to follow through with this.

I dont think we will see them as canon couples(because kishi said he wont do that for shikamaru) but i am sure theres going to be some of there moments .

I disagree, i believe shikamaru might of actually died.. Notice that the "......." On the 3rd hokage have the comment bubble as if he was saying something, and the one that shikamaru has does not look like it is coming from him, so i believe it is from choji who is holding shikamaru

A couple of years back, Kishi said he had no romantic plans for Shikamaru and Temari.
He might use it as a death scene though.
Maybe have Temari reflect on Shikamaru's life as he dies.
