Personally I feel its related to chakra of JUUBI....

Shikaku must have come to conclusion that without enough chakra they wont be able to fully succeed in there plan but partially may be yes...

3 clans that Shikaku was talking about was are Yamanaka, Nara and Akimichi....These three clans have a long history together and as such have formed teams consisting of one shinobi per clan for generations. This particular team consisted of Inoichi Yamanaka, Shikaku Nara and Chōza Akimichi. They formed an Ino–Shika–Chō trio during their younger years and are still working together in the present.

Their children are the current Ino–Shika–Chō trio as Team...

Y...They will play a major part...From the starting it has been said that they have the best understanding in the team...
This is the memorial of the Yamanaka, Nara and Akimichi clan that stands in Konohagakure as a testament of the close-knit relationship between the three clans. Engraved on it are the symbols of the respective clans which commemorates the pact that the three clans made to work together, protect each other and Konoha.
The earrings worn by the previous and current generation of Ino–Shika–Chō trio.

To strengthen their unity further, members of the Sarutobi clan give them earrings that are presented to each generation when they swear their oath. They wear the earrings so that they never forget their oath, as it's there whispering in it into their ear. Children wear the earrings of their parents from the day they become a genin to when they attain the rank of chūnin, so that their parents' oath is burned into their memory. Returning the earrings to their clansmen also symbolise that they are considered adults by their respective clans.
So this means from the starting Kishi might have planed something big for them...

I couldnt care less if they got matching underwear to show their brotherhood and understanding or whatever. They are fodders. Think about what you are saying: Ino, Shikamaru and Chouji will have a role in defeating the Juubi. The single most powerful being in the entire manga will be beaten by those three? Are you serious?

I think them having anymore a role than those random alliance shinobi spamming attacks at the Juubi is a bit out there to be honest but who knows.

Haha shikamaru a fodder? that is rich. Kishi stated that the k11 will have a bigger role in the coming year and this will be one of those times. They obviously won't defeat it by themselves but you got a problem if you think its wrong to get them involved.
