I mean, theoratically he can. More trees=more shadows=more shadow techniques+Shikaku intelligence>Hashi. However, hashi might break it.Not if shikaku imediately uses shadow sewing technique and kill him(Note:Shadows are much more discrete thn hashi wood technique. But its theoratically. In principle, im not sure

Well sure, but Hashirama can just make a wood dragon and fly on it. How is Shikaku's shadow reaching him?

Alternatively, giant statue.

Some normal, but strength based shinobi have been able to break out of it, Hashirama, who can basically improve every jutsu immensely with his powerful body/dna, should most definitely be capable of breaking out of it. He can withstand edo tensei, shadow stitching should be nothing for him.
