Description and Background: Choughs, members of the Corvidae family, are often mistaken for crows for having glossy, black plumage. They differ by the choughs having brightly colored feet, legs, and bills. They have long, broad wings, allowing them to perform amazing aerobatics. They make their homes in high mountain ranges, and normally eat bugs and insects as their main source of food. In Kumogakure, there is a certain flock of choughs that have acquired the taste for carrion, causing further confusion with other members of the Corvidae family. They can often be found at the scene of a recent battle feeding, singing songs in joy over their meal. It’s unknown how, but these birds can also utilize chakra, allowing for short burst of speed, intensified vision, and increased sense of smell.

They are large enough for normal sized ninjas to ride without slowing them down. Using their size to their advantage, they can swoop down on enemies, using their talons and beaks to attack. When struck by a B-rank or stronger hit, the chough is dispersed

Description: The user will clap their hands, summoning dozens to hundreds of choughs, which will fly around the target causing confusion with their dark forms and quick movement. With the target distracted by the birds, the ninja can strike more easily, using the shadows of the choughs as cover. They can also attack the target, using their beaks. When no longer needed, the choughs will disperse.
