And here comes another stupid post. Some are agreeing and some are not but ofc you're too dumb to see that.
Maybe you're too dumb to understand a difference in opinion doesn't mean someone is stupid. Again I ask you why are you crying and whining

Let's say he has a decent light source. His range is decent with his shadows. He can come up both sides and the middle with them. So if nejis sees them from sides he has to jump and shika can get him with the shadow in the middle. Granted neji can easily avoid this particular scenario but unless neji blitzes shika has a serious shot. And all he really has to do is observe how neji moves and get him
To move where he wants him to, like he did with temari
Good points...let me start with saying Temari doesn't have a byakugan and she isn't a close range fighter so there wasn't any reason for her to get close. Whereas a Hyuga would want to get close enough. And don't forget how wide the range of 64 palms is.

Your scenario is good too only problem is that the shadows have to travel and converge first before it actually pins a Hyuga. Byakugan would see the shadows travel from any angle.
Even in a forest where numerous shadows would be cast by trees, the hyuga can just leap on a tree and approach Shika.

So then it's a 50-50 in close combat? Shadow possession has many forms. Temari wanted to keep her distance and shikamaru has many tricks to think its okay to come close when it's not.

Hinata lacks battle genius Neji possesses. Hinata good support ninja
A 50-50 in close combat? I don't understand.

The Databook disagrees again with you as the Intelligent stat probably refers to battle intelligence. If that wasn't the case, the genius tag that was associated with Neji throughout part 1 should have made him score higher than the measly 2.5 he scored whereas Shikamaru had a solid 5.

Youre right about the support. But Kishi seems to think she could be better as she wasn't placed in the support(5th) division in the war.

Honestly Hinata and Shikamaru are grouped together in category 3 in terms of overall K11 rankings.. out of four or five. I would think that he beat her easily, but I've seen a debate where that isn't the case.

I'm still not 100% on the battle, I'd have to look at it again. I think it has something to do with her abilities, maybe air palm, which causes the onset problem. I'll do a little research because it's sketchy.

Shikamaru has good tactics and his jutsu makes it hard for someone to get close. Shadow possession can even creep underground. I think it's possible he beats Hinata and maybe beats Neji. The only reason he might not beat Neji because Neji has a brain. What do you guys think
Without considering location and distance? , put them in the Chunin exams arenas and Hinata wins mid diff , Neji Neg/Low diff , in a forest they destroy him even worse.
