Sherlock has a profound aptitude for deductive reasoning. Upon meeting a person, he will often "scan" them, using elements of their appearance to arrive at astonishingly accurate conclusions about their past or personality. Sherlock uses a memory retrieval technique called the "method of loci". He refers to this system as his "mind palace". The most noticeable of his traits is the fact he is constantly bored by the lack of missions; he finds peace and quiet to be hateful. Even if he is offered a mission, he will not leave unless he rates it a seven out of ten, or finds it interesting. Although he seems to be a cold-hearted intellectual, Sherlock does have a kind, caring side, and although barely shown, it wins over many people.

Background Info

History

Sherlock's father was an Uchiha Jounin from Konoha. While on a mission in the enemy territory, he met Ms. Holmes. She was a strong and smart young lady. They quickly fell in love and got married in her hometown while he was still on his mission. He brought her to Konoha after the successful completion of his mission and startled his family who were hoping he would marry a young Uchiha girl once he comes back. Five months after they came to Konoha, Sherlock was born. At the same time Konoha Shinobi were failing most of their missions because of information leak from within to the enemies. The village elders and the Uchiha clan elders suspected Ms. Holmes of being a spy and asked Sherlock's father to hand her over to the authorities. When he protested, they gave him two choices. To either prove her innocence within twenty four hours or execute her with his own hands when the time is over. He agreed and successfully found out the culprit within twenty four hours and handed him to the authorities proving Ms. Holmes's innocence. But he was furious at the village elders and the clan elders for suspecting his wife and considered it an attack on her character and dignity. After an ugly quarrel with the clan elders over it, he took Ms. Holmes and Sherlock away from Konoha. They settled in Amegakure and to protect Sherlock and as per his mother's village customs, he was named Sherlock Holmes instead of Sherlock Uchiha. Sherlock was a smart and strong boy right from the start. He became a Jounin at the age of 14. He pledged his allegiance to the Amekage and is very loyal to Amegakure.
